Eddie is a highly motivated, dedicated, and resourceful security practitioner with over 20 years of industry experience in building and leading customer success and field engineering functions for early-stage cyber startups. Throughout Eddie’s career, he has served as a security consultant, security researcher, and technical sales leader for many highly successful and disruptive startups in the DC metro region including Riptech (acquired by Symantec), Securicon, NetWitness (acquired by RSA), Invincea (Acquired by Sophos), Invotas (Acquired by FireEye), Flashpoint (Acquired by Audax private equity), Polarity, Hubble and AdvIntel.
Jorell Magtibay, Elezar
Founder and CEO of Elezar – a Melbourne-based start-up focused on applied cyber threat intelligence and threat-informed defense. He is also the consulting CISO for OpusV, a leader in system integration and Managed service provider (MSP) for critical infrastructure in APAC. Jorell has 14 years of cybersecurity experience in various industries including finance, government, managed security services and vendor services. Throughout his career, he has successfully led incident response engagements, executed multi-million-dollar cyber security projects, developed and matured cyber and threat intelligence capabilities for enterprise environments, and managed and trained cyber engineering and threat analysts. Finally, Jorell was the chairman of the FS-ISAC APAC Threat Intelligence Committee between March 2022 – June 2023 and was awarded FSISAC’s global leader award in 2022 in recognition of his contribution to the Threat Intelligence community.
Randy Rose, MS-ISAC
Randy Rose is the current Vice President of Security Operations & Intelligence at the Center for Internet Security (CIS) where he leads the analytical and operational missions for the Multi-State and Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing & Analysis Centers (MS- and EI-ISAC, respectively). He has spent most of his career in public service, from the local level to the Federal level, supporting both the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). He served as NY state’s first penetration assessor for local governments and schools. He led Europe’s largest Security Operations Center (SOC) for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and directed efforts to build the DoD’s first dedicated Cyber Threat Intelligence department at the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC). Randy has specific experience leading global incident response operations, implementing new operational technologies, discovering innovative solutions to save costs, and developing programs to assess cyber risk for municipally-owned Operational Technology. Randy holds his CISSP, GSTRT, GCTI, and GREM, as well as a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor’s in Forensic Anthropology. He moonlights as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Albany and as the bassist in NY original rock band Gracies Paris, which can be heard on all major streaming platforms.
